Wash dishes and maintain tidiness and cleanliness in the kitchen. Essential Job Functions Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand. Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition. Assist with kitchen prep work such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, or portioning ingredients. Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers. Sweep or scrub floors. Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
