Weekend Pool Attendant Position Available In Baldwin, Alabama

Weekend Pool Attendant Sun Outdoors Orange Beach 22800 Canal Road, Orange Beach, AL 36561 Sun Outdoors Orange Beach, the Gulf Coast’s premier RV resort, is seeking enthusiastic and a responsible individual to join our team as a Pool Attendant in a seasonal capacity through Labor Day. Applicants for this position must be able to work from 10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including weekends and holidays. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for all guests. Pool Attendants will oversee pool activities to ensure pool policies and safety guidelines are followed, assisting guests, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the pool area. This is NOT a lifeguard position.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Safety & Supervision:

Ensure guests adhere to all standard operating procedures, including all posted rules and preventing outside food and beverages from being brought into the pool area. Enforce all safety rules and guidelines to prevent accidents or unsafe behavior. Adhere to all pool operating procedure manuals, checklists, and safety standards. Maintain a positive and friendly attitude while interacting with guests, addressing their questions and concerns. Assist in waterpark opening and closing duties. Close the pool immediately in the event of a contamination and notify management.

Park Cleanliness & Maintenance:

Conduct routine inspections of the pool area and report any safety or maintenance concerns. Ensure the pool area is free of litter, trash, and debris. Clean clubhouse and surrounding common areas as needed. Ensure pool area bathrooms are clean, stocked with supplies, and free of standing water. Straighten pool furniture regularly, ensuring it is clean and in working order at all times. Ensure pool equipment is properly stored and organized.

Safety & Equipment Maintenance:

Cleaning and vacuuming pools. Cleaning skimmer baskets. Backwashing pool filters. Skimming pools with a skimmer as needed. Ensure safety equipment is present and in working order. Check first aid kit daily for needed supplies. Assist in maintaining proper water quality and cleanliness, including

Operational Support:

Respond quickly and professionally to guest concerns or minor incidents. Work collaboratively with other staff to uphold safety and guest satisfaction. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years old. Able to work from 10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including weekends and holidays. Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or recreation is a plus. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Requires physical stamina for long periods of standing, walking, and lifting. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate physical activity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, professional, and safety-conscious demeanor. This is a part-time, seasonal position working at Sun Outdoors located in Orange Beach, AL.
