Job Description
Pool Attendant Part Time 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Florence, AL 35630 JOB This position works under the direction of the Aquatics Supervisor and Pool Manager. The Pool Attendant is responsible for monitoring and collecting gate receipts and maintaining daily cash receipts and attendance records. The employee is responsible for the supervision and education of pool guests and assisting with facility maintenance.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Collecting gate receipts. Keeping attendance counts. Monitoring patrons as they enter the pool to assure they are abiding by pool regulations and policies. Counting money and rolling coins at the end of the day. Completing daily receipts and attendance report. Keeping daily log. Following up on record keeping for water tests. Preventing injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations. Enforcing facility rules and regulations. Recognizing and responding effectively in all emergencies. Reporting maintenance issues to Pool Manager or Supervisor. Informing lifeguards or other staff when more help or equipment is needed. Educating patrons about rules and regulations. Maintaining cleanliness of pool area. Paging patrons and making announcements. Performing other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public and other employees.
Knowledge of community resources and other related organizations.
Ability to report to work on time and notify the appropriate individual in advance if unable to work.
Ability to work flexible hours with some holiday and weekend work required.
Ability to work with minimal daily supervision.
Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
Ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks despite interruptions.
Knowledge of and the ability to count money and make accurate change.
Should have basic knowledge of and the ability to use and/or play with and direct water activities using recreational equipment and swimming pool supplies.
Physical Demands:
Stands, walks, bends, climbs stairs, stoops, lifts and carries recreational supplies and pool equipment.
Ability to actively participate in recreational aquatics programs for children, adults and seniors.
Prolong standing and sitting.
Must be able to work in extreme heat.
Equipment/Tools Used:
Operates a calculator, telephones, copy machines and other office equipment when necessary.
Must be able to operate a sound system and public address system.
Needs to be able to use a chemical test kit for monitoring chemicals in swimming pools.
