Pool Attendant DoubleTree by Hilton Hollywood Beach 4000 South Ocean Drive, Hollywood, FL 33019 BASIC
FUNCTION
Pool Attendants serve as a primary team member and initial point of contact for all outdoor services activities at Doubletree by Hilton Hollywood Beach. These positions are responsible for working at welcome gate, pool and pool deck. In times of need, these employees may be utilized across several areas. Each attendant must be sufficiently trained to perform all functions at the assigned primary station – Welcome Gate/Pool/Pool Deck. This will include operation of all computer systems, cash handling, processing reservations, organizing pool deck area, picking up trash, managing the towel inventory, screening guests and non-guests, and ensuring guests are following the ‘pool rules’ at all times, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
v Perform all duties in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies. v Flexibility to work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand. v Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. v Give clear and concise directions to various locations in the resort v Answer guest questions using excellent customer service skills
Overall:
- Must be well groomed, with nametag on at all times while working on the property.
- Must be well-mannered, display a helpful attitude at all times, greet guests when encountered, show appreciation to the guest for being at the resort, show willingness to help guests and employees at all times.
- Must coordinate operation of outdoor services stations with other departments in the resort.
- Must be open to new training and experiences.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of computer-based systems, including reservations and point of sale systems.
- Provides information on park and resort activities and policies.
- Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate superior.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Must be guest service oriented.
- Ability to interact well with others.
- Ability to use computer systems.
- Must possess or have the ability to acquire some knowledge of watercraft.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
1. To assist other departments as required. 2. Will perform additional duties as requested by the Outdoor Services Manager.
