Casual work attire Safe work environment Lively atmosphere Under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Recreation Attendant setting up/taking down rooms for outside rental groups and events, and preparing for and monitoring rentals, performing light cleaning, performing general recreation-related support work, and performing other related duties as assigned. This position will be required to work some weekends. The Recreation Attendant will be required to work independently and make sound judgments and perform other related duties as needed and assigned.

Responsibilities:
Greets customers, answer phones and handle customer requests Checks facility use schedules and is accessible to patrons during activities/rentals. Prepares, opens, and closes facilities for reservations, programs, special events, athletic activities, and public use arranges equipment for events and ensures set-up is correct. Arms/disarms alarm systems and checks doors Monitors facility user groups by enforcing rules and regulations and securing and/or reporting damage or unsafe conditions. Serves as primary contact for weekend park/rental activities, responding to customer questions and ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Provides customer service during events, answering questions and resolving problems. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to responsibly oversee the use of a recreational facility. Ability to establish and maintain effective and courteous relationships with the public. Ability to maintain simple records. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Demonstrated reliability and dependability. Ability to work flexible hours.
