Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the hotel’s pool and surrounding areas. This includes monitoring pool usage, ensuring guest safety, cleaning and sanitizing pool areas, and ensuring compliance with hotel policy and local health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the pool area to ensure guest safety and enforce pool rules and policies Ensure pool towels are stocked and used ones are collected Greet guests warmly and respond to questions or concerns professionally Report any unsafe conditions, broken equipment, or rule violations to management Close and secure pool area at designated times Ensure signage is visible and up to date regarding policy, rules and hours Assist with minor maintenance or cleaning tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in pool or recreational facility preferred but not required Basic knowledge of pool safety, hygiene, and operations Ability to lift up to 30-40 lbs and perform physical tasks in outdoor conditions Comfortable interacting with guests and enforcing rules politely Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain (if required by state/local law)
Work Environment:
Mostly indoors, exposed to sun and pool chemicals Must be able to work in hot/humid conditions May be required to assist with emergencies or help evacuate pool area when necessary
