The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all guests utilizing the pool facilities. Pool chemical testing is a vital part of this role. The Pool Attendant will play a vital role in enhancing the guest experience while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness. This job runs from June until end of September. Nights and weekends will be required. Responsibilities Monitor pool activities to ensure guest safety and compliance with all safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment for safety. Verify customer check sign in and check out, verifying rules have been read. Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, including deck chairs, tables, and surrounding areas, removing trash and restocking as needed. This may include leaf blowing, deck scrubbing washing down tables and chairs. Pool vacuuming and checking/empty filters. Maintain pool readings as needed and adjust chemicals as needed. Ensure all Orleans County Health regulation procedures and documentation are followed. Organize and facilitate events or activities at the pool, ensuring a fun atmosphere for guests of all ages. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any issues or maintenance needs. Valid CPR certificate of adult, child and infant. Experience Previous lifeguard experience preferred but not required. Pool chemical knowledge preferred. Familiarity with conflict management techniques to handle guest concerns effectively. Experience working with children is a plus. Public speaking skills are advantageous for leading poolside activities or events.
