Summary:

The Beach/Pool Attendant ensures that the Swim Center, Boardwalk Inn, and Grand Pavilion pools are opened, maintained, and closed properly daily. The Pool Attendant is responsible for pool operations, proper access, regulation enforcement, fee handling, retail sales, towel amenities, customer service, cleanliness, and promotion of swimming and Recreation amenities and programs.
The Pool Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture as well as promoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Essential Job Functions:

Towel distribution and retrieval
Access control at private facilities
Promote Pool safety and report hazards immediately
Timely opening and closing of swimming facilities
Accurate pool chemistry recording
Operation and maintenance of pool cleaning equipment and supplies
Placement of lane lines and other pool equipment
Maintain overall water and area cleanliness and sanitation
Accurate cash handling, POS and accounting duties
Consistent restocking, folding, delivery and distribution of pool towels
Sales of lessons and small merchandise items
Operation of power washer, leaf blower, pool vacuums, manual tools
Ability to maneuver pool cover seasonally
Enforce pool policies and regulations
Answers phone calls and all guest inquiries
Maintain overall presentation of the swimming areas
Maintain office cleanliness
Assist recreation, food and beverage or other departments as needed
Be alert and aware of weather or other circumstances that may affect patrons or equipment
Be knowledgeable and assist with special events as needed
Provides general resort information for guests
Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
Addresses any guest issue promptly and with concern
Offers guests assistance resort directions, activity suggestions, etc.
Maintains constant awareness of safety issues and reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
Acts with responsibility towards allpany property, supplies and equipment.
Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Wild Dunes Resort dress code standards.
Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.
Colleague is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Experience & Education:

High school education
At least one year customer service experience preferred
Pool operations or swimming experience preferred

Job Requirements:

Must be authorized to work in the United States
First Aid, CPR, AED certification
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
Must possesses excellentmunication skills
Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
Must be able to work under pressure
Must have excellent listening skills
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and Colleagues
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
Must be able to operate portable power tools, mechanical tools, and gas and electric powered machinery safely
Must be able to swim

Working Conditions:

Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day
Must be able to climb stairs and walk on uneven surfaces on a regular basis
Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs at shoulder height
Must be able to bend, squat, push, pull heavy carts and supplies frequently
Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; squeezing and overhead reaching
Must be able to push and pull full linen carts weighing approximately 300 pounds
Must be able to swim and perform duties in a 4.5 foot deep pool
Severe weather conditions (heat, sun, wind, rain, warm water, cold water)
