Full Job Description Overview:

We are a new property management company building a dedicated pool operations team. The Pool Team Lead will play a critical role in overseeing the maintenance and safety of swimming pools, hot tubs, and related amenities across our properties. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure high standards of maintenance and guest satisfaction.

Salary:

$60,000 annually + 5% of department profit + gas allowance

Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Technical Schedule and supervise staff responsible for pool maintenance. Hire, train, and onboard new team members. Inspect pools, hot tubs, and facilities to ensure proper operation and maintenance. Oversee the upkeep of water systems, pumps, filters, and playground equipment. Respond to maintenance issues, guest inquiries, and work order updates in a timely manner. Liaise with the Guest Experience and Owner Experience teams to address and communicate repair needs and updates. Track KPIs and generate performance reports; adjust operational plans as needed. Set clear goals for the team and consistently monitor progress. Perform additional duties as assigned. Leadership & Team Development Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and respect in line with Upstay’s values. Guide the team in daily operations and long-term development. Health, Safety, and Compliance (OH&S) Ensure adherence to all company policies and safety regulations. Contribute to continuous improvement of company procedures. Actively foster and model safe workplace behaviors.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

5+ years in swimming pool maintenance; 3+ years in a leadership role.

Education:

College diploma preferred; Certified Pool Operator (CPO) required.

Availability:

Must be available for flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Other:

Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required. Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Able to remain calm under pressure and use creative problem-solving approaches. Critical thinking and analytical abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
