Position Summary:

We’re seeking a passionate and organized Aquatics Director to lead our team of lifeguards and swim instructors. You’ll manage daily operations, staffing, scheduling, program coordination, client billing, swim team operations, and our on-site ProShop—ensuring everything runs smoothly and our families receive top-tier service.

The Aquatics Director must also:

Be willing to actively teach a minimum of 15 hours of swim lessons per week Be available to work evenings and weekends as part of a flexible full-time schedule

Key Responsibilities:

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise swim instructors and lifeguards Develop and manage staff schedules to meet program needs Oversee day-to-day pool operations and enforce all safety protocols Provide high-quality swim instruction for a minimum of 15 hours weekly Step in as needed to fill the role of swim instructor or lifeguard, both at our facility and at traveling/mobile lesson locations Manage billing, registration, and client account reconciliations Ensure compliance with local and state aquatic safety standards Support instructors with curriculum implementation and lesson quality Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and issue resolution Collaborate on seasonal programming and special swim events Oversee swim team operations, including scheduling, parent communication, and coordination of meets or internal competitions Oversee inventory and sales in our on-site ProShop, including ordering, restocking, and merchandising swim gear and apparel

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in aquatic facility management or similar leadership role Strong background in swim instruction across age groups and skill levels Exceptional leadership, communication, and customer-service skills Experience managing retail inventory and point-of-sale systems is a plus Hands-on familiarity with private swim school models and curriculum Proficiency in billing/scheduling software (e.g., Jackrabbit, iClassPro, etc.)

Current Certifications Required/Preferred:

Lifeguard Instructor (Required) Lifeguard (Required) Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
