The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in performing arts, particularly theater, and will be responsible for shaping the vision and direction of our programs. This role requires a creative leader who can inspire both staff and students while fostering an environment of education and artistic growth. Duties Develop and implement strategic plans for theater programs that align with the organization’s mission. Oversee the production of performances, ensuring high-quality artistic standards. Collaborate with choreographers, educators, and other staff to create engaging educational content. Conduct auditions, cast productions, and provide direction during rehearsals. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and the community to promote programs and initiatives. Facilitate workshops and educational sessions to enhance skills in dance and theater among participants. Manage budgets related to productions and educational programs while ensuring resources are allocated efficiently. Skills Strong background in theater, with specific knowledge of musical theater preferred. Excellent public speaking skills to effectively communicate ideas to diverse audiences. Ability to educate others in dance techniques, performance skills, and theatrical concepts. Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with artists, educators, and community members. Creative problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges in production and program development.
