Job Summary:
The Amenity Manager is responsible for the overall supervision and successful daily operation of the resort’s clubhouse, pool facilities and guest activity programming. This role ensures a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction across all recreational amenities, while leading a team of pool attendants, activity staff, and seasonal team members. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, guest-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional resort experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of all amenities, including activities, cabanas and event spaces, cleanliness, schedules, and safety compliance Plan, implement, and supervise daily guest activities including fitness classes, arts & crafts, games, special events, and seasonal offerings Recruit, train, schedule, and manage a team of clubhouse and activity coordinators, ensuring proper staffing levels and performance standards Monitor pool equipment and activity materials; coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed with maintenance and housekeeping teams Ensure compliance with local health and safety codes, resort policies, and emergency response protocols Collaborate with marketing to promote amenity offerings and boost guest participation Regularly assess guest feedback to improve programming and maintain high service standards Manage amenity-related budgets, supply orders, and inventory Maintain accurate records of incidents, attendance, and departmental metrics Assist with resort-wide events and cross-departmental initiatives as needed
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Recreation, Leisure Management, or related field (preferred) Minimum 2 years of experience in amenity, recreation, or pool operations, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting Current CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain) Strong leadership and communication skills Proven ability to organize engaging recreational programming for diverse age groups Knowledge of pool maintenance Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak resort seasons Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Able to lift and move supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
