Fitness Studio General Manager SPENGA North Raleigh Raleigh, NC 27615
Key Responsibilities:
Overview As the Fitness Studio General Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and a welcoming environment for all members. Your core skills in sales and operations will be essential for maintaining studio efficiency and enhancing member satisfaction. We need someone focused on driving efficiency in the studio and ensuring that member growth occurs and is available full-time. Schedule is flexible to some degree, though. As part of the job, you will get world class training on a variety of skills – sales, marketing, operations, training, etc. – from our coach and from the owners. You also get a free membership to our gym for working out and get discounted rates on merchandise and supplements. Bonuses are also available for hitting certain targets.
Sales Process:
Oversee the in-studio sales process, including new memberships and renewals. Be the #1 person responsible for driving new member growth. Review key indicators that lead to signups and studio growth with owners. Jointly develop and execute on strategies to help us meet or exceed sales targets within the studio. Attend weekly mentorship calls with coach.
Staff Management:
Hire, train, and manage all front desk. Ensure staff are fully trained on studio policies, procedures, and customer service standards. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. Conduct regular training with front desk staff (weekly) and instructors (monthly or as needed)
Studio Operations:
Manage instructor and staff scheduling or delegate this to someone else on the team Ensure cleanliness (training for staff or checklists to follow, not that you are cleaning) Ensure members have a great experience. Oversee maintenance, as needed. Ensure perishable supplies are stocked.
Member Experience:
Monitor member feedback and concerns and communicate them to owners and instructors. Help organize or do member appreciation events and initiatives to foster a strong community within the studio. Check-in with people on goals. Reach out to members who haven’t been in lately. Find incentives or ways to encourage people to come in.
Social Media:
Ensure creation of videos, and regular posting to social media.
Studio Marketing and Growth:
Ensure people on contact lists are contacted daily or multiple times per day, as needed. Grassroots marketing efforts – building partnerships with other local businesses, school organizations, active adult communities, apartment complexes, pop-up events, private sessions, etc.
