The Crunch Manager will ensure the members receive the highestquality of service and facilities. He or she will exhibit anability to achieve the financial targets for the club as outlinedin the annual budget by motivating, leading, supervising andcoordinating the activities of employees engaged in servicing ourmember needs. He/She will demonstrate an aptitude and command ofall company wide policies and initiatives to ensure the integrityof the Crunch brand.

Responsibilities:

Administration/Organization Demonstrate a working knowledge of all standard operatingprocedures and policies that pertain to the club. Communicate and implement club policies and procedures toemployees. Encourage staff to work as a team and be productive. Illustrate an ability to make decisions. Recruit and hire the highest possible caliber of staff. Sales/Revenue Management Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and manageteam. Achieve desired sales goals. Achieve desired revenue goals thru the leadership andmotivation of employees. Implement and support company programs and promotion to helpgenerate new sales leads for optimum new membershipgrowth. Ensure that Team maintains proper tracking forms and the dailyleads. Ensure that all promotions are effectively communicated to theteam and all other appropriate staff. Ensure ongoing prospecting and generation of new prospectivemembers. Review sales-related written communication such as proposal,letters and promotional pieces for effectiveness, spelling,accuracy and distribution. Ensure that the staff has a high level of knowledge about theclub’s programs, facilities and equipment. Emphasize the importance of staff involvement in the communityand neighborhood. Personal Training/Revenue Management Demonstrate ability to lead, motivate and manage personaltraining department. Achieve desired personal training revenue and sessionproduction goals. Achieve desired revenue and production results thru theleadership and motivation of employees. Implement and support company programs and promotion to helpgenerate new pt client acquisition for optimum member basepenetration. Facilitate integration of Personal Training products into pointof sale presentations to maximize the number of orientationsessions scheduled and packages sold. Ensure Personal Training team follows proper procedures insession redemption. Oversee PT manager in ensuring all components of departmentalobjectives are satisfied. Operations Coordinate and work within club support functions of Fitness,Sales and Marketing, Accounting, Information Technology. Support personnel related problems or difficulties by followingclub procedure and documentation. Resolve member complaints in an expeditious and tactful mannerfollowing club procedure and documentation. Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere that enhancesthe quality of service and care offered to the members. Ensure the club meets standards for cleanliness, maintenance,safety, and security. Conduct weekly detailed inspection of the club with theMaintenance Manager utilizing cleaning checklist and forwardinformation to appreciate staff. Ensure visible maintenance items are repaired promptly, propersignage is posted and if possible out of service equipment removedfrom the floor. Reinforce to staff that cleanliness is everyone’sresponsibility, not just the maintenance staff. Ensure proper inventory of maintenance parts. Track completion of opening/closing checklists, stagemanagement, repair & maintenance log, locker log and cleaningchecklist. Assist in the processing/submission and approval ofpayroll. Financial Exhibit an understanding of budgets and incomestatements. Establish controls of expenses and purchasing of clubsupplies. Display an ability to keep expenses at or belowbudget. Demonstrate an ability to articulate variances inrevenue/sales/expenses versus budget. Leadership/Motivation Serve as a role model for employees. Communicate effectively by holding weekly and individualmeetings with all key club personnel. Provide an inspirational environment that welcomes honestfeedback from employees and takes action to ensure a qualityworking environment. Oversee, support, direct and develop department heads. Profit Centers Illustrate an ability to drive profit center revenue such aspersonal training, retail, etc. Monitor flagged check-ins to increase revenue andcollections. Demonstrate an ability to increase revenue per member. Meetings Monthly or Weekly Department Meetings Employee Training Meetings Daily “One Minute Meetings” with club staff Daily Personal Training Manager Meeting Weekly Club Management Meeting Annual Performance Evaluations Accountabilities Implement and support company programs and promotion to helpgenerate new sales leads for optimum new membershipgrowth. Oversee expense goals by managing payroll and general andadministrative expenses. Ensure that the clubs meet Crunch standards for cleanliness,maintenance, safety, security and physical plantoperations. Keep current in knowledge of key competitors. Conduct frequent walk-throughs. Measurement Standards Successful management of all financial budgetarygoals. Ensure standards of clubs cleanliness and customer serviceexcellence. Demonstrate professionalism by leading by example.
