Winged Foot Day Camp :

The New York Athletic Club, one of the world’s premier clubs, isseeking a Day Camp Activity Leader (Sports and Creative Arts ) atthe Travers Island property located in Pelham, NY. The candidatefor this position will be a part of the Winged Foot Day Camp teamand will conduct general sports classes. They will also assist withleading camp wide activities. The Winged Foot Day Camp is theperfect opportunity for children of members to gain a full campexperience, take advantage of the world class facilities at TraversIsland, and create memories to last a lifetime. Campers willparticipate in several sports, creative arts, theme days, and offcampus field trips Job Description and Responsibilities

• Createlesson plans to provide basic sport instruction to campers ages5-13 years old
• Provide fun, engaging, instructional activitiesfor campers
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learningenvironment for campers
• Maintain a clean work space andinventory for all equipment
• Enforce safety rules andregulations of the Club
• Be able to cultivate and maintaineffective relationships with colleagues, campers, parents/guardians
• Be flexible to meet changing work needs and demands
• Attendpre-camp training in June 2024 Day Camp season runs from June 24,2004-July 26, 2024. Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years ofexperience working with children
• Minimum 2 years of experiencein facilitating a group session
• Must be 18 years or older
• Pass NYS and national background check
• Transportation to andfrom Travers Island required
• Be available 40 hours per weekduring June-August 2024
• Excellent communication skills andability to work on a team
• Ability to motivate youth, managebehavior problems, and keep youth engaged in activities
• Possesseffective customer service skills
• Demonstrate responsible andprofessional conduct
• Be open to feedback and desire to growprofessionally
• Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently andaccurately
• Knowledge in lesson planning and youth sportsprograms/activities
