Job Description

Basic Job Function :

The Lead Golf Services Attendant assists the Golf Professionals and the Golf Service Supervisor in the management of the Outside Services Staff and helps manage cart fleet and bag transport, and assists the golf staff in providing members and guests of Sea Island Golf Club with an incomparable golf experience while abiding by all company and departmental policies and procedures. Work involves independent decisions requiring technical knowledge, sound judgment and familiarity with golf industry standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of one (1) year working in the golf/private club experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent credentials preferred Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Some management/leadership experience Must be outgoing Must be detail-oriented Must be able to work with Resort Suite, Excel, and our scheduling tools Must be able to lead and guide staff Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license and a favorable driving record Company policy requires that one must be 21 years of age or older to drive a company vehicle Consistently aspires to fulfill our core Company values (Respect, Integrity, Passion, Teamwork, Accountability, Caring, Loyalty & Trust) Exhibits the Sea Island Five-Star Behavior Standards with guests, members and co-workers Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes If applicable, must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company

Dress Code Policy Tasks/Responsibilities:

Help lead, manage and perform all the following with staff members: Grooming standards Parking procedures Clocking in and out New employee orientation of the area Uniforms standards and procedures Service vision focus and teaching Teaching empowerment of staff Lunch break procedure Guest problem resolution responsibility in outside services Lost and found procedures Fire alarm procedures Hurricane procedures Safety checklists Accident and injury procedures Greeting and meeting guests and members Looking forward on the tee sheets for business and forecasting staffing levels Locate and send golf bags to and from the Lodge Bag tags and tracking golf bags Group set up procedures Assists with guests and members for golf Assists with operation of tournaments and group functions Maintaining the golf cart fleet Maintaining the cart barn, bag room, office area, and breakroom Maintain rental sets Maintain club storage Order items needed for club with Office Administrator Initiative, judgement, organization, and cooperation a must Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership

Physical Requirements:

Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods Must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards Ability to maintain compliance with Sea Island Company LLC’s Resort Professional Image Policy
