Summer Camp Healthcare Supervisor Position Available In Essex, Massachusetts

Summer Camp Healthcare Supervisor Camp Leslie 139 West Main Street, Georgetown, MA 01833 We are looking for a residential camp nurse for up to three weeks. Each session of camp is one week long, so one week employment is possible! Food and lodging provided during the session!

Dates for each session are:

July 20

• 25 July 27
• August 1 August 3
• 8 Main duties include overseeing distribution of medication, providing first aid, communicating with families and keeping health care logs.

Responsibilities:

Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications to campers and staff per doctor’s orders and/or written protocol at designated times Maintain accurate and up to date logs of medication administration as well as illness and injury care delivered to campers and staff Working with a Healthcare Consultant and Camp director to manage the needs of campers and staff Work directly with the Camp Healthcare Consultant, Local Board of Health, EMS, fire department and hospital when needed to attend to the illness or injury of a camper or staff Screening campers upon arrival Review medical paperwork, Physical/Immunizations, Doctors Orders Receive/Review all medications to be taken by campers/staff during stay Discuss any health concerns with parents/guardians Lice screening COVID testing Providing staff with pertinent details for care of campers Maintain a watchful presence to the overall wellness of campers and staff Maintain, clean and stocked health center, inventory/order first aid supplies when necessary Support Camp Director in staff training in relation to child health and safety Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Licensed healthcare professional in Massachusetts (RN preferred) Current CPR and First Aid Certification (required) Pediatric Experience (preferred)
