(EFV) is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and families through education, enrichment, and engagement. This summer, we are excited to launch a dynamic STEAM Summer Camp for students to explore coding, robotics, drone aviation, arts, and sports — plus weekly field trips to experience the best of NYC. Position Overview We are seeking Licensed NYC Teachers to serve as Lead Counselors in our 2025 STEAM Summer Camp program. Lead Counselors will oversee camp groups, supervise staff, and lead daily instruction and enrichment activities in a fun, educational, and safe environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage daily operations of a camp group Facilitate STEAM-based learning activities (coding, robotics, drone aviation, etc.) Coordinate and support arts, sports, and social-emotional learning sessions Lead weekly educational and recreational field trips Collaborate with assistant counselors and program staff to ensure a positive camper experience Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants Qualifications Must be a currently licensed NYC teacher Prior experience working with youth in an educational or camp setting Strong classroom management and leadership skills Passion for STEAM education and youth development Ability to commit to full camp schedule (July 7 – August 15) CPR/First Aid certification a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly pay at $60/hour Bi-weekly per-session compensation Opportunity to lead innovative, hands-on STEAM programming Supportive and mission-driven team culture A chance to positively impact Brooklyn youth this summer
