Position Overview:

Douglas Manor is seeking a dedicated and passionate Wedding Venue Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring that each wedding event is seamless, stress-free, and memorable for our clients. As the Wedding Venue Manager, you will work closely with brides, grooms, and vendors, providing exceptional service from touring to event day. Additionally, you will assist in marketing efforts to promote the venue and attract potential clients. This position reports directly to the Venue and Marketing Director and Venue Owner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • On-Site Supervision:

    Oversee the venue on event days, ensuring everything runs smoothly, including set-up, logistics, guest management, and tear-down.

  • Venue Maintenance:

    Ensure the venue is always clean, organized, and properly maintained before, during, and after events.

  • Staff Management:

    Supervise and direct event staff to ensure the highest level of service is delivered to clients and their guests.

  • Problem Solving:

    Address any issues or concerns that arise during events, ensuring they are handled professionally and promptly.

  • Marketing Support:

    Assist in promoting the venue through social media, event listings, and marketing materials under the guidance of the Venue and Marketing Director..

  • Content Creation & Social Media Management:

    Help create and post content on social media and the venue’s website, while monitoring and engaging with the venue’s social media pages under the guidance of the Venue and Marketing Director.

Client Tours & Promotions:

Lead venue tours for potential clients, showcasing the venue’s offerings and booking spaces for upcoming events.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in event management, preferably in a wedding venue setting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Knowledge of wedding trends, vendors, and industry best practices.
  • Experience managing a team is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
  • Experience with social media platforms and basic marketing strategies is a plus.
Job Type:

Part-time Expected hours: 28

  • 32 per week
Schedule:

10 hour shift 8 hour shift Evenings as needed Weekends as needed
