Onsite Event Associate Webb Deane Stevens Museum Wethersfield, CT 06109 The Webb Deane Stevens Museum is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable individual to fill the position of Onsite Event Associate. As the Onsite Event Associate you will play a crucial role in managing the execution of various museum events, including fundraisers, lectures, workshops, weddings and other celebrations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, or someone wanting to explore the world of events. The Onsite Event Associate reports to the Rentals Coordinator. The position is part-time, with variable hours that can range from 2-20 hours per week, depending on the number of scheduled events. Responsibilities Assist with the coordination and execution of museum events. Assist with event set-up, including arranging displays, decorations, and signage. When Rental Coordinator is not present for a Museum event, manage all day-of event logistics, set-up, coordination and implementation. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all event requirements are met. Manage on-site event logistics, including greeting and directing attendees. Support the Rentals Coordinator by providing general assistance and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Independently direct/manage weekend/evening events as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous experience in event planning and coordination is a plus. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Availability to work evenings and weekends, as required. Ability to stand for extended periods and work indoors and outdoors. Ability to walk up/downstairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
