JOB DESCRIPTION
Reception Duties:
Answer phones in a pleasant and polite manner, make sure buildings are open and ready for business and closed/locked up if appropriate. Provide a pleasant atmosphere by greeting any guests entering the administration building and asking if they need assistance. Provide general information to guests and take messages as needed. Give out parking passes.
Event Duties:
Help with set up, break down and managing of events. Assist with a light cleaning before and after rentals (sweeping, wiping windows, and picking up trash). Assist in placing any signage or equipment. Monitor parking and direct traffic as needed. Monitor traffic on the grounds and keep visitors from intruding upon events. Monitor the rental timeline. Effectively work with and communicate with rental party and other visitors. Problem solve issues that arise. In addition to the duties listed above, UFPA expects the following of each employee: adheres to theatre’s policies and procedures; works in a safe manner; performs duties as workload necessitates; maintains a positive and respectful attitude; communicates regularly with supervisor about department issues; demonstrates efficient time management and prioritizes workload; demonstrates regular and consistent attendance and punctuality; meets department productivity standards.
EXPECTED SALARY
$14.00 per hour
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Strong customer service and communication skills, event experience. Schedule flexibility required for evening and weekend events. The position may be filled as an OPS, non-student, or a Student Assistant.
Students:
this position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CPR, First Aid, AED training-preferred but not necessary as training will be provided.
