The Member Engagement and Events Manager is responsible for the organization’s membership recruitment and retention engagement activities, new member development/sales and the organization’s events including securing event sponsorships. Other key responsibilities include management of the membership database via CRM (NEON) and the IMPACT Brevard platform as a member benefit. This is a nonexempt position and includes a competitive benefit package.  Success looks like implementing recruitment and retention activities in line with LEAD Brevard’s strategic plan that leverages member engagement to strengthen relationships and drive growth. This position ensures ‘best-in-class membership experience, offering high quality service and support. ResponsibilitiesAbility to address details and to engage in member/potential member outreach are both needed to be successful in this role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and achieve goals.  Professional communication skills, oral and written, supporting a commitment to high quality customer service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products, familiarity with CRM/database sales and member systems. Events planning and execution, including requests for support through sponsorships. Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure cohesive and aligned communication efforts. Building Meaningful Connections Increase number and participation rate of LEAD Brevard members and instill pride and connection to LEAD Brevard

  • Create a valued system for LEAD Brevard members to access the network and build relationships. Engaging with the Community  Actively communicate the mission, vision, and values of LEAD Brevard
  • Maintain and market IMPACT Brevard
  • New Member Sales Membership Retention and Engagement (40%) Develop and implement membership ‘touch point’ processes that connect with and engage members during annual membership cycles.

 Support the billing, invoicing and collections processes related to membership and sponsorship via

platforms. Maintain and update member benefits and explore new options to increase member value, may develop and execute plans to provide LEAD Brevard merchandise.  Identify and compile an ongoing list of exceptional alumni for profiles, articles, and testimonials for inclusion in marketing campaigns. Plan and implement member orientation sessions to engage new members and reconnect with existing members. Promote and manage the IMPACT Brevard platform – Metrics as an example of success

  • LEAD Brevard members  Database Management (40%) Data Management, using the CRM maintain accurate and up-to-date records of member/alumni contact information and engagement activities in the database; system & broadcast emails/automation & workflows Metrics and Reporting, track and analyze engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication and engagement strategies.

 Explore features and capabilities of CRM to enhance the membership experience and as a resource for staff Event Support (20%)Provide support with event registrations, event details and onsite coordination support. Assist with communications and outreach with key members & sponsors leading up to and following events Plan, coordinate, and execute alumni events, contributing to networking events such as Conversation + Community, LEAD on The Move and LEAD Before Hours.

Staff with CEO to 40th anniversary of Leadership Brevard Task Force – develop plans for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Leadership Brevard, including a $40K fundraising strategy with alumni classes. Staff to 2026 Awards Task Force – determine process and implement awards for nonprofit, small and large business of the year for the annual meeting and graduation event May 2026 Staff to Membership and Events – provides on-going leadership education and “connection” opportunities for members & alumni

Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines. Bachelor’s degree and/or 2-3 years related nonprofit profit experience preferred; or associate’s degree in related area.  Excellent organization, coordination, initiative, prioritization skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in an entrepreneurial environment. Strong skills in computer operation, including Microsoft Office Suite 365, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and digital platforms, CRM (NEON)  Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required to engage with members, potential members, event sponsors and others.  Ability to set goals, meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and accomplish results, working effectively through a volunteer committee structure to accomplish goals. Collaborator with a high level of enthusiasm and self-motivation Current valid Florida driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage  May be required to work evenings/early mornings as events require Compensation Compensation range hourly $22.00 to $24.00 commensurate with experience and qualifications; benefits offered include the following:
