Description

Your Purpose Plans and executes all of MSC Cruises Trade events, Sales and MSC Cruises functions to include but not limited to Sales Trade Shows, inaugural events, Sales Meetings, Industry Events, and Advisory Board Meetings. Coordinates with Senior Management, corporate counterparts leveraging assets, tools, etc., shipboard personnel and land-based personnel as well as travel partners for all events and activities from creative stage to final execution. Your Impact
Contractor will support the upcoming Galveston Trade Event, including but not limited to, the following tasks:
Lead tasks in GVA Event Portal system
Manage invites
Servicing individual bookings
Communicating with attendees
Scheduling, finalizing and executing onboard Trade Events
Contractor will support all Trade Events, engaging our B2B audience.
This includes:
Supporting the Trade Event Manager in highest impact events
Leading mid-level events with team support as needed
Onsite support, which may include travel, and some evenings and weekends.
The type of event will range (Tradeshows, meetings, dinners, cocktail parties, partnership events, onboard events, etc.)
May be asked to support Trade Engagement channel when needed•Must have a basic understanding of B2B marketing and engagement tools such as PowerPoint presentations, emails, and social media
Your Journey so far
Event coordination and management experience•3 years minimum
Education:
Certified Event Planner certification and/or bachelor’s degree
Ability to travel and work extended hours beyond regular business hours including nights and weekends
Handling of materials up to 40 lbs is required on a somewhat frequent basis.
Must have experience working with various necessary vendors and contacts for complex events.
Microsoft Office suite skills•power-point a must, strong verbal and written communication skills required, knowledge of adult learning principles, knowledge of computers and aptitude for learning new technologies
Cruise line experience a plus
