Compensation Rate:

$17 per hour What you get to do: Manage event execution from start to finish, including event proposals, contracting, planning stages and post-event communication
Responsible for meeting client needs while pursuing tailored event enhancements to drive incremental revenue
Solicit new event business, via incoming calls, cold calling, utilizing past client/industry lists
Communicate event details to all park departments to ensure the highest level of service; perform site inspections and assist with all components for a successful event
Function as the on-site Busch Gardens and Adventure Island event coordinator and main point of contact for clients to ensure event deliverables exceed expectations
Responsible to ensure all deposits, payments, insurance and other mandatory event elements are fully executed prior to event; coordinate post event billing, event recaps and surveys
Assist with other Marketing initiatives and special projects as needed What else is important: Minimum 2 years college education, Bachelor degree preferred
2-3 years of experience in event sales and event execution for hospitality industry, theme park, convention center or equivalent
At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and able to meet company driving guidelines
Needs to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines and be extremely detailed to work on contracts, itineraries, park-wide communication, etc.
Strong leadership skills and ability to assume greater responsibility
Needs to demonstrate effective sales presentation skills and overall professional demeanor
Proficient in computer programs to include Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Customer service experience
Positive attitude, team player & excellent communication skills
