Job Summary The Foundation Coordinator oversees multiple and various Foundation events, including planning, implementation, management, and administration. Develop and enhance the existing events programs to further LSSC’s goals and mission, including increased net revenue, advancing strategic initiatives, and enhancing relationships with key constituencies (including faculty, staff, students, LSSC Foundation, and community members). Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Event Management (60%): Direct contact for all Foundation internal and external event planning and coordination at the College. Collaborates with the Director of the Foundation to plan, organize and administer all event functions, including supervising setups and breakdowns of all Foundation events. Coordinate the operational planning of events to include contracts, facilities, staffing, technology, vendors, equipment, logistics, and any other related issues.
Collaborates with the Campus Transformation & Events staff to manage scheduling of events, space availability, and other logistics. Collaborates with the Director of Alumni Relations to plan and implement creative programs to grow the College’s alumni base.
Maintain regular communication with college personnel, community contacts and vendors to become a logistical resource for those planning events on campus. Collaborates with Marketing and College Relations Department to ensure all pre- and post-event communications provide consistent and appropriate messaging.
Effectively communicates via phone/email and in person. Utilizes experience, discernment, and good judgment to accomplish goals within required time frames while having a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Manages events and addresses potential problems that may arise, planning for scenarios that could impact the event’s integrity.
Develops and maintains event and volunteer database. Coordinate volunteers for events. Manage the Student Ambassador Program.
Administrative (40%): Create reliable financial reports and maintain events budget. Assists the Director of the Foundation with financial paperwork and office duties related to budget paperwork.
Maintains a working knowledge of Raisers Edge. Coordinates event registration, attendee and sponsor tracking. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues.
Provide support to all Foundation staff as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Self-motivated with the ability to plan, organize and manage projects and functions – often multitasking. Ability to exercise critical human relations and customer service skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with the faculty, staff, students, businesses, civic organizations, and the public.
Effective oral and written communication skills. Efficient skills in applying Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Publisher) and other software.
Working knowledge of Raisers Edge software.

Minimum Qualifications & Education Education Required:

Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.

Education Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. A minimum of five years of related events planning and office administration experience required. Employer
