Job Description:

Join our team at the Golden Bear Club as an Event Operations Lead/Assistant! This exciting role is essential to ensure the smooth execution of our events while supporting the administrative functions of the country club.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Setup & Breakdown Lead:

Assist with the physical setup and teardown of events, including lifting and arranging tables, chairs, and other banquet equipment as needed.

Banquet Server Captain Duties:

Oversee event operations to ensure service standards are met and guests have a memorable experience.

Administrative Support:

Perform paperwork and organizational tasks during weekdays to assist the event director with event planning and general country club administration.

Floor Plan Coordination:

Collaborate with the event planning team to create and implement detailed floor plans for events, optimizing the use of space.

Vendor & Staff Coordination:

Support communication with event director, vendors, and staff to ensure all event logistics are executed seamlessly.

Venue & Inventory Management:

Keep track of the venue’s banquet areas, inventory for event supplies, and equipment, ensuring everything is accounted for and in good condition. Ensuring banquet areas are always presentable and tour ready.

Social Media Marketing:

Assist in promoting club events through social media platforms, creating engaging content, and interacting with followers. Flexibility for

Be prepared to stay late or work early morning hours during events to guarantee smooth operations from start to finish.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods (8+ hours if needed). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with team members and vendors. Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field is a plus. Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing strategies is desirable. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Flexibility to work varied hours, including late nights, early mornings, and weekends. Must have a high school degree. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
