About this role Responsible for coordinating and supporting student events and special projects on and off campus. Coordinates student mentor program, mascot appearances, and college-wide event calendar. This position requires traveling and working a fluctuating schedule, including evenings and weekends. What a day of a Student Life Coordinator looks like: Coordinates and assists with the planning and implementation of student life and campus activities, developing processes and programs to enhance student engagement. Monitors, tracks, and analyzes data to identify trends and gaps in student engagement. Facilitates training and maintains current knowledge of student engagement platforms. Supports athletic, intermural, and wellness events that promote the division, including assisting with coordinating activities and events. Recruits and supervises department volunteers for programs, events, and activities. Develops communication campaigns to publicize college, department, and campus programs, events, and initiatives. Maintains and monitors the department website, email, and social media accounts. Uses established web templates and may use HTML or web development software. Designs, edits, produces, and distributes brochures, catalogs, newsletters, reports, flyers, posters, manuals, or specialized publications. Creates presentations as needed for training and promotions. Assists with monitoring department and student activities’ budgets in the system. Prepares, processes, and verifies documentation for payments and other financial transactions. Coordinates and monitors department mascot and Step-N-Repeat reservations and usage, including securing the performer, and cleaning and maintaining the costume and supporting materials. Determines the need for office supplies, equipment, and materials. Replaces or purchases new office supplies and equipment as needed. Coordinates retention initiatives through the mentor program including record keeping and report preparation. Travels to meetings, seminars, and conferences outside of college locations. Participates in various campus committees and assignments as needed. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. We’d love to hear from you if you have the following:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience; OR Associate’s degree and three years of related experience

Knowledge of:

Microsoft Office Professional or similar application Microsoft Publisher or similar Skilled in: Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management Managing and resolving conflict in a positive manner Ability to: Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness

Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:

Regular physical attendance required Valid Florida driver’s license Some periods throughout the year will require extended work hours including nights, weekends, and college closures
