$34.6K – $43.5K a year 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Organizational skills Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Birchwood/Teak Event Coordinator Job Description Event Coordinator will be responsible for group & private dining reservations at Birch & Vine, Birchwood Canopy, Teak & Pier Teaki at the St. Pete Pier. They will work to ensure excellent events and client satisfaction by communicating and coordinating with clients, collaborating with the Front of House and Back of House Management, working cross-departmentally, and providing event support including rentals, menus, set up, and direct client service.
Essential Functions:
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Event Coordinator will be responsible for group private dining reservations (ranging from 15-75+ attendees) at Birch & Vine, Birchwood Canopy, Teak & Pier Teaki at the St. Pete Pier. Daily tasks will include answering event inquiries via phone & email, creating and updating Banquet Event Orders, overseeing event setup, maintaining internal event calendars & providing venue tours to potential clients. The Event Coordinator will also assist with various on-site and off-site community/annual events as assigned by the Events Team. The Event Coordinator will act as the liaison between the Client/Host and Birchwood/Teak Properties Front of House and Back of House Management, during booked events. Contacting, booking and following up with all guests interested in hosting a special event or guests who are interested in booking with Birch & Vine, Birchwood Canopy, Teak or Pier Teaki. Following large party procedures, prices, policies and other special details as it pertains to the needs of the event. Confirming and communicating event details with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff prior to event as well as overseeing and working the event when necessary. Eventually, the overall goal is to train the staff to handle events and follow BEO guidelines without the coordinators presence. Assisting management and ensuring that they are setup for success. Providing onsite tours for guests or onsite consultations. Ideal candidate must be self-motivated, train quickly on systems, be detail oriented and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.
