Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Facility Event Coordinator, the part-time Center Attendant is responsible for maintenance, room set-up and break-down, etc. for the historic buildings including Brawner Hall, the Taylor-Brawner House and the Reed House. This position is also responsible for interacting with patrons and vendors to ensure a positive customer experience along with the effective and efficient operation of the venues.

PLEASE NOTE HOURS

Position generally works an average of 2-3 days/week up to 20 hours.
Must be able to work weeknights (occasionally until 11:00 pm) and most weekends (anytime between 8:00 am – 1:00 am). Essential Job Duties
Ensures the proper pre-and post-event maintenance/cleaning of the historic buildings.
Performs room/venue set up and break down for meetings, events, activities, etc.
Tactfully investigates and resolves patron and/or vendor issues and reports such issues to the Facility Event Coordinator.
Interacts with patrons and/or vendors to ensure adherence to all applicable rules and regulations so that activities and events run as planned.
Performs general building maintenance.
May be required to act on behalf of the Facility Event Coordinator (via CivicRec software).
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements of Position
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) PLUS one (1) year previous experience and /or training that includes facility supervision and working with the public; OR
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Tasks require the ability to exert physical effort in the moving/lifting of tables, chairs, equipment, etc.
Must be able to successfully pass criminal background.
