Volunteer Event Coordinator role available! We are currently representing a client in the non-profit sector, seeking a Volunteer Event Coordinator to join their team on a contractual basis. The position will last for at least 11 months, with the possibility for an extension, based on performance.

Description of assignment and duties:

Works closely with non-profit’s Area Offices, local National Office staff and trained volunteer leaders to provide support and oversight in all aspects of coordinating the volunteer experience for one of the non-profits internationally focused volunteer short-term programs. Serve as the primary contact with the receiving country staff and volunteer program leaders to ensure successful execution of short-term build projects.
Manage volunteer relationships with volunteer program leaders who are connected to the non-profits affiliated organizations, educational institutions, corporate partners, and other organizations.
Respond quickly and accurately to inquiries/requests, immediately following up with screening, matching, booking, coaching, and training, monitoring of records and databases, and maintaining ongoing communication with volunteer program leaders throughout the pre and post project experience.
Maintain and update program-related resources such as itineraries, budgets, and information for external marketing.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely distribution of funds to volunteer program leaders and/or receiving country programs.
Ensure timely reporting and accurate completion of other internal processes as needed.
Required skills/knowledge/years of experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years of volunteer management experience.
Experience working in a program or project with global contexts.
Familiarity with principles related to sustainable development.
Proven communication skills (written and oral).
Previous program management experience.
Experience with budgets.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build coalitions and work in cross-cultural settings.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Critical analytical skills, especially in situations where the issues are not fully defined.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines.
Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team, with experience in volunteer relationship management.
Working knowledge of Microsoft software, internet, and basic office equipment #Admin123
