POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting fundraising, donor stewardship, and communications efforts. This position manages the donor database, processes gifts, coordinates fundraising events, supports social media and content creation, and assists with capital campaign and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about nonprofit development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Donor Database & Gift Processing Maintain donor CRM for data accuracy and segmentation. Conduct periodic data cleaning to remove duplicates, correct errors, and ensure compliance with donor privacy and data protection policies Process and track donations, ensuring proper documentation and timely acknowledgments. Write and coordinate timely, personalized thank-you notes to donors, ensuring each contribution is acknowledged in alignment with organizational standards and donor stewardship best practices. Generate donor and campaign reports for internal stakeholders. Work closely with the finance team to ensure seamless reconciliation between CRM records and financial reports Social Media & Content Support Assist in creating and scheduling engaging, platform-specific content aligned with the organization’s mission. Incorporate visuals and calls to action to drive engagement and fundraising. Event Coordination Plan and execute all logistics for fundraising events, including vendor management, guest lists, and day-of coordination. Track attendance and guest communications; manage post-event follow-up and reporting. Collaborate on post-event surveys and documentation to improve future events. Capital Campaign & Administrative Support Assist with donor tracking, scheduling, and material preparation. Maintain campaign reports and support the development team with administrative tasks. Provide general administrative support as needed for the Development team
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
This position is a full-time, salary position working 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and some weekend hours with some ability to work remotely.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university Self-motivated team player who is confident in cold calling, enthusiastic to reach out to engage new community members, and teamwork driven Positive attitude and passion for Bloom’s mission Strong time management, organizational, and written communication skills Volunteer or professional experience in networking, community outreach, public relations, or a nonprofit fundraising role Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and One drive, Adobe, and CRM database management Valid Georgia driver’s license and clean driving record
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of experience involving community outreach, public relations, or a nonprofit fundraising role 2 years of fundraising or event planning experience in a nonprofit environment or equivalent experience in a corporate environment
