Job Summary The Event Coordinator III will play a crucial role in the operation of internal and campus group facility reservations and assist with external events as needed. This position is responsible for the management of indoor and outdoor recreation spaces related to events, working with on campus entities, coordinating all event logistics including audio and video (A/V), entertainment, security, custodial, catering, etc. This position will advise and counsel: students, faculty and staff and student organizations This position will supervise: N/A Responsibilities Job Duty 1

  • Recruit, hire and train student event operations team to assist with event implementation and oversight Job Duty 2
  • Review and develop policies and procedures that aid in successful event services for students and on-campus groups/departments. Will include outdoor/indoor facility reservations Job Duty 3
  • Benchmark, evaluate, create or revise fees tied to facility space and equipment rentals Job Duty 4
  • Provide oversight and implementation of student employee payroll policies and procedures Job Duty 5
  • Create and implement policies and procedures for scheduling and events area that follow best practices on campus and allow for clients to easily understand expectations Job Duty 6
  • Collaborate with Fire Marshal and GTPD. Enforce policies and procedures necessary for the safe and orderly use of facilities Job Duty 7
  • Manage budget related to staffing and revenue expectations Job Duty 8
  • Assist with external events as needed Job Duty 9
  • Develop relationships on campus to arrange specific services (A/V, Custodial, Security, Catering, etc.) for internal/external events Job Duty 10
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Required Experience Three to four years of job-related experience Preferred Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as hospitality management, business administration, or communication Professional certifications in event planning or project management Proficiency with Workday Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
