Director of Westside Works Position Summary:

The Westside Works Special Initiatives and Outreach Manager is responsible for managing all Westside Works events and partner engagement efforts; maintaining updated community resources and job opportunity listings; recruiting and managing volunteers; and leading professional development initiatives for program graduates. This is a full-time position reporting to the Westside Works Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Management Conduct planning for events according to requirements, target audience and objectives. Coordinate all aspects of the event including but not limited to registration, sourcing of vendors, vendor contracts, décor, AV, event budget etc. Work collaboratively with project lead, vendor, caterer, and other stakeholders to ensure successful coordination, room booking, parking, etc. Partner Engagement Plan, coordinate, and execute partner engagement activities. Manage professional development, training resources and communications. Successfully onboard and offboard all new employees and partners. Volunteer Management Recruit, screen, and manage volunteers. Develop and maintain a robust volunteer database. Supervise volunteer activities. Program Graduate and Alumni Engagement Maintain up-to-date success stories and testimonials. Nurture strong relationships with program graduates by offering professional development. Prepare graduates representatives for speaking and program promotion events. Qualifications & Expectations Qualifications Ability to interact well with a range of people and be flexible, creative, energetic, and accountable. Organization skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to work as a member of a small team and work successfully with limited resources. Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently, manage time, and balance project demands. Expectations Expertise in MS suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) as well as file management systems such as OneDrive. Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
