Owner Position Summary:
The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, promoting, and executing events that enhance the visibility and sales of The Sweet Bar and its mobile ice cream truck. This role includes coordinating birthday parties, pop-ups, community and corporate events, and remote outreach and marketing efforts. The position offers a Flexible work: Work from-home arrangement, with occasional on-site presence as needed for event execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Coordination:
Plan and coordinate in-store and off-site events including birthday parties, festivals, school visits, and pop-up experiences.- Organize food truck bookings for community events, private functions, and corporate opportunities. Prepare event logistics including schedules, supplies, permits, and staffing.
Remote Marketing & Outreach:
Work from home to manage event bookings, client communications, and promotional campaigns. Promote the food truck and in-store events through email campaigns, social media content, and local community forums. -Reach out to local businesses, schools, and organizations to secure future events and partnerships.
Customer Relations & Sales:
Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries via phone, email, or social media.- Build and maintain relationships with recurring event clients and community partners. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure each event is memorable and well-coordinated.
Administrative & Reporting:
Maintain a digital event calendar and customer database. Track event performance, food truck bookings, and marketing metrics. Coordinate with the store manager for staffing, budgeting, and promotional priorities.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in event coordination, sales, or marketing preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with remote work tools (Google Workspace, Canva, email platforms, etc.). Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with food truck operations or the food industry is a plus.
Compensation:
This position offers a compensation structure that includes a base salary in addition to a commission based on a percentage of each event booked.
