CONTRACT EVENT PLANNER NEEDED

• Norwood, Mass. This is a temporary opportunity with the possibility of converting to direct hire after 1 year. Hybrid schedule
• 3 days a week in the office
• travel up to 30% Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and creative Event Planner to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of events, ensuring that each occasion runs smoothly and meets the client’s vision. This role requires excellent time management skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a passion for hospitality. The Event Planner will work closely with clients, vendors, and team members to deliver exceptional experiences. Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to understand their event goals, preferences, and budget. Plan and execute events including corporate meetings, weddings, fundraisers, and social gatherings. Negotiate contracts with venues, catering services, and other vendors to secure the best terms. Manage event logistics such as venue selection, catering arrangements, guest services, and transportation. Develop event marketing strategies to promote upcoming events and maximize attendance. Oversee the setup and breakdown of events to ensure all details are executed as planned. Provide exceptional guest services during events to enhance attendee experience. Monitor event budgets and timelines to ensure projects stay on track. Experience Proven experience in event planning or a related field is preferred. Strong skills in upselling services and products related to events. Familiarity with fundraising strategies for non-profit events is a plus. Experience in hospitality management or hotel operations is beneficial. Proficient in time management with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and vendors. Knowledge of catering services and contract negotiation is essential.
