Brighton, MA (in-person) About NTSAD The National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association (NTSAD) is one of the nation’s oldest patient advocacy organizations. We support individuals and families affected by ultra-rare genetic diseases like Tay-Sachs, Canavan, GM1, and Sandhoff. Our mission is to drive research, build community, and provide unwavering support to families navigating these devastating diagnoses. The Role We’re seeking a detail-oriented Development Assistant to support our small and collaborative team. This role is key to keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring a meaningful experience for our families and donors.
Key Responsibilities Donation Processing & Data Management :
Maintain accurate donor records, process digital deposits, generate reports, and manage acknowledgments using donor database (Donor Perfect).
Event Coordination :
Support logistics for NTSAD’s annual Family Conference and fundraising event, including volunteer coordination.
Family & Donor Relations :
Provide warm, responsive support to families and donors; assist with fundraising efforts. Answer inquiries by phone and email; draft and send donor correspondence. Assist with general office management, mail processing, and vendor coordination. What We’re Looking For 1+ year of administrative or development experience (nonprofit preferred) Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office; donor database/CRM experience preferred Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer service mindset Bachelor’s degree preferred Bonus Skills Experience with Donor Perfect or similar CRM Familiarity with social media platforms and/or
WordPress Hours:
20 hours/week | flexible schedule within 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday (ability to attend NTSAD’s local events such as the annual fundraising event and family conference)
