Job Description:

The Campus Center, housed within Hammond Hall, offers itself as a place where students can spend time socializing and expanding themselves outside the classroom. Hammond Hall houses everything from offices and services for students, to the Gallucci-Cirio Library, North Street Bistro, and the Bookstore. Event Support Services (ESS) is a group of the Campus Center Staff that offer an array of event and hospitality services for events, programs and other functions within Hammond Hall. The Manager serves an important role with keeping up with all reservations and events in Hammond Hall, and coordinating scheduling of ESS/Pub Staff. Staff will rotate through various job assignments such as arranging room and event set-ups, providing AV and technical assistance at events, and serving beverages and maintaining security during events where alcohol is being provided. The successful candidate will be able to perform the following duties: Monitor Event Management System (EMS) daily to coordinate reservation setups.
Participate in the hiring, training, and supervision of the Event Support Staff (ESS).
Coordinate schedules for the ESS.
Serve as the direct line of communication between ESS and the professional staff in OSD.
Be proficient in all room and AV setups.
Be knowledgeable of the layout of the Hammond Campus Center.
Work closely with Pub Manager to ensure that all events are properly set up and staffed.
Attain TIPS certification to serve alcohol and food in the Falcon Hub.
Work well in both an independent and team setting.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Interact with guests ranging from fellow students to upper administration.
Manage and keep track of equipment and inventory.
Maintain and organize all storage areas to ensure proper storage of all furniture.
Assist with room setups when needed. The ESS Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Campus Center Operations.
