Banquet/Events Coordinator Caribou Inn Caribou, ME 04736 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Event Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a knack for creating memorable experiences. This role involves planning, organizing, and executing various events while ensuring exceptional guest services. The Event Coordinator will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, manage budgets, and oversee all logistical aspects of events. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and décor. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event. Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and adhered to. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure necessary services. Provide outstanding customer service throughout the planning process and during the event itself. Upsell additional services or products to enhance the guest experience while maximizing revenue. Market events through various channels to attract attendees and ensure successful turnout. Organize event logistics, including timelines, staffing needs, equipment rentals, and setup/breakdown processes. Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and gather feedback for future improvements. Requirements Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with clients and vendors. Proficiency in budgeting and financial management related to event planning. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events. A customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences for guests. Familiarity with marketing strategies related to event promotion is a plus. $16.00 – $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
10 hour shift 4 hour shift 8 hour shift Holidays Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
