SALESPERSON
Dunleith Historic Inn The main objective of the Event Sales position is to generate income for Dunleith Historic Inn. The Event Salesperson must display a passion for the events industry and have a strong track record in sales with a solid background in events. They will be proactive, hard-working, and customer service oriented. They must be a team player and can identify opportunities for revenue growth and then strategically plan to deliver on these opportunities. In this multifaceted role, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and display a high level of organizational and project management ability. The Event Salesperson reports to the General Manager and Operations Manager Respond to sales inquiries and leads. Proactively sell the venue spaces to new clients. Conduct site visits of the venue space (including after hours and on weekends). Actively seek new opportunities for the company and promptly follow-up on leads and opportunities. Proactively manage accounts of existing clients to grow revenue. Work closely with our preferred vendors to ensure consistently high standards. Collaborate with other departments and operational staff to ensure a high quality of event delivery. Contribute to the budgeting process and provide regular financial reports to senior management. Management of client contracts and paperwork. Oversee the invoicing process to ensure that payments are properly processed. Prepare and submit weekly sales recap reports. Maintain a reliable database via inputting to and keeping up-to-date clients and prospective clients. Understand and support the vision and mission of Dunleith Historic Inn. Complete weekly cold calls and sales calls quota. Develop and maintain relationships with industry representatives. Attend after-hour networking events and travel for industry conventions, tradeshows, etc. Travel to New Orleans for meetings. Join and be an active member in industry organizations. Meet or exceed yearly revenue goals. Undertaking other duties requested within the responsibilities of the position. Qualifications Excellent telephone manner and outstanding customer service and relationship building skills Excellent administration and organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills General computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new computer’ programs efficiently Attention to detail, enthusiastic, proactive, uses initiative, and willingness to learn new skills Ability to work in a changing and flexible organization Willingness to work evenings and weekends as neede
