Campus Life Position Summary The event specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the booking and coordination of events for Campus Life. They are responsible for managing reservations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth operations for all events. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to the campus community and guests.

T0191 Minimum Education/Experience/Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Education/Experience/Skills High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in hospitality management or a related field is a plus. Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or event coordination is beneficial but not required for entry-level positions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with campus community and colleagues. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple bookings and administrative tasks effectively. Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office suite, email, booking software) is essential. Enthusiastic and personable demeanor with a genuine interest in providing exceptional service. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule. Work Schedule and Hours | Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evenings and weekends work may be needed to meet the needs of the department and University.
