We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely driven to deliver hospitality that just feels right — thoughtful, effortless, and memorable. Summary Cúrate is seeking a strategic and highly organized Events Director with a strong background in budget management, event sales, and seamless event execution. This role is responsible for developing and executing events that elevate our brand, drive revenue, and foster long-term customer loyalty. The Events Director will lead the creation and management of internal and external events across our family of brands, working closely with operations, marketing, and restaurant leadership to ensure each event is successful from concept to execution. This includes budget planning and oversight, sales strategy, and meticulous event preparation to ensure smooth handoff and execution by the restaurant team.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the full event lifecycle—from concept and budgeting to sales, planning, and flawless execution Develop and manage the events budget, ensuring all events are financially viable and aligned with growth goals Drive event sales through direct outreach, community networking, and collaboration with the marketing team Partner with restaurant leadership to ensure complete event readiness by developing and delivering detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), event timelines, and run-of-show documentation Conduct in-person walk-throughs and team briefings to ensure clarity and alignment across departments prior to each event Build and maintain strong relationships within the Asheville community and broader region to drive local engagement and repeat event business Collaborate with the marketing team and PR firm to build promotional strategies that maximize visibility and attendance, and align with brand objectives Develop, implement, and refine systems and processes for planning, reporting, and communication across all events Analyze event performance data to inform future strategies and ensure continuous improvement While the Events Director will not have direct reports, there will be key collaborative work outside with: Marketing and PR to orchestrate promotions, advertising content and foster relationships/execute events with community partners Restaurant management on event initiatives, menu changes, seasonal rollouts, and private dining experiences Hospitality team for the “boots on the ground” execution – we view our Events Director as integral in executing the highest quality of events and this role is responsible for kicking off events and employee training/improvement Owners and Senior Leadership to strategize on event opportunities in the local community Important characteristics: You have an expansive knowledge of hospitality, the food and beverage industry and engaging event design You are a dynamic, inspiring leader and agent of change who is innovative, bold, and assertive You are known to be strategic with a willingness to innovate and seek continuous improvement and you possess a high level of urgency in your approach, constantly pushing yourself and others You are positive but honest, open to giving and receiving constructive feedback and you have a demonstrated ability to partner with, counsel, and influence the leadership team to drive strategic outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring a range of experience, with an emphasis on collaborative leadership and event management expertise. Job Requirements:
Minimum of 6 years experience in Events management Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business related degree is a plus Experience in growth stage company, growing new event ideas and partnering with local businesses to drive event opportunities Keen understanding of restaurant, hospitality and event sales is a must Strong business, data analysis and interpretation skills Proven ability to effectively think through complex issues and creatively problem solve Experience building strong strategic partnerships
Working Conditions:
