Catering and Events Specialist Griffin Stafford Hospitality 7831 Gateway Lane NW, Concord, NC 28027 Hilton Garden Inn Hotel Charlotte/Concord has an exciting opportunity for a Catering and Event Specialist to join our Sales Team! The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, handling market requirements and responding to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking meeting space and food and beverage services all while continuing to provide outstanding service to our guests.

Catering and Event Specialist Reports to: Director of Sales (Sales Department)
Salary:

Requirements:
Meet and greet clients, conduct property tours, and promote facilities and services Upsell event menus and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, as well as organize all other arrangements as they relate to social events. Supervise and attend the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings. Communicate to relevant departments to ensure proper service of accounts. Prepare and present weekly and monthly Catering/Sales reports. Participate in trade shows and community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and the achievement of sales and revenue goals. Provides direction and supervision of meeting and/or catering logistics to affected departments and team members. Schedule flexibility, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required to meet the needs of the Company’s business operations. Responsible for development, solicitation, detailing and maintenance of accounts in assigned market segments. Required to meet or exceed budget goals and established quotas. Manage all aspects of booking meetings and catering functions to include proposals, contracts and detailing Banquet Event Orders. General knowledge of events and catering. Oversee Sales and Catering Coordinator and work closely with Food & Beverage department. Other duties as assigned by management.
Educational/Vocational Preparation:
Bachelor’s degree in Event management or Marketing. A combination of vocational event planning and/or on the job training may substitute for bachelor’s degree.
