This role involves a blend of hospitality, event management, sales, brand ambassadorship, and operational excellence to deliver memorable experiences. Must enjoy working with the public and leading a team of amazing people. The role reports to both the Owner of Liberty & Plenty Distillery and the Sales & Marketing Manager, and requires a high level of proactive planning and communication.

At-Will Employment:
Employment with Liberty & Plenty Distillery is at-will, meaning either party may terminate the relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice. It is understood that acceptance of this role requires that you agree to Non-Disclosure of any methods, ingredients, types, styles, vendors/suppliers, customers/routes to market of any created spirits products made by Liberty & Plenty Distillery. For those able to lift, pull, push weights up to 50 lbs .

Base Salary and Tipped Wages:
Base Salary + Eligible for tipped wages at qualifying events.

Liberty & Plenty Distillery will cover 50% of your health insurance premium. Vision and Dental are available, but at 100% of the premium.
Employee Discounts:
Access to discounts on all Liberty & Plenty Distillery products of 25% with the exception of alcohol. Shift drinks at $5/drink. Mileage for travel negotiated based on event. Lodging pre-arranged (to include breakfast) with a per diem of $30/day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekly Split responsibilities between FOH Manager and Event Coordination (40%/60%)
FOH Operations:
Oversee day-to-day front-of-house operations necessary to maintain exceptional guest experiences at the distillery while maintaining COGS, Labor Hours and Budget. Manage FOH staff scheduling, training, and performance to ensure brand consistency and professionalism. Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and event areas, ensuring all spaces meet health and safety standards. Oversee ordering and inventory management, to support bar needs and event needs. End of month counted by Analyst. Fill out the necessary PO’s for Liberty and Plenty Bond to Retail movements for FOH. Reporting to Ownership and Finance. Develop and implement SOPs for bar service, events, and tasting experiences. Support in house tours, as needed when Brand Ambassadors are not available on Friday/Saturday. Handle customer inquiries and ensure timely resolutions to guest concerns. Organize/Schedule Music Performers. Update Toast with new menu and merchandise adds. Interface with Menu Design. Oversee and Direct Merchandising in coordination with Other duties as designated by management.
Event Planning & Execution:
In coordination with Sales & Marketing Manager, source/evaluate aligned event, plan, coordinate, and execute internal (at the distillery and bar) and external events, including festivals, community events, fundraising initiatives, product launches, trade shows, and private functions. Demonstrable ability to be the “hunter” to find new opportunities for events throughout the state of North Carolina. In coordination with Sales & Marketing Manager, develop Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices, Benchmarking and Training Materials for the Events domain. Conceptualize Events for the Bar (New Year’s, Valentine’s, Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Brand Spirit Releases and other in house marketing/merchandising. Oversee conceptualization, creation of cocktails, and overall use of spirits for events. Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations. Coordinate event logistics such as venue selection, permits, vendor negotiations and staffing. Oversee event set-up and breakdown, ensuring all equipment, product, and marketing materials are managed efficiently, which includes transportation, set up, take down and return-check in of any equipment, product and marketing materials. Operate and manage Point of Sale system. Ensure compliance with all relevant NCABC laws and regulations. Participate in events, as needed. Oversee ordering, inventory management, and stock control to support bar and event needs. Oversee completion of required reports for internal management, external consultants or vendors, and state and federal authorities, as identified by management.
Brand Representation:
Serve as a brand ambassador at all designated events, educating guests on Liberty & Plenty Spirits and driving sales. Conduct tastings and product demonstrations with confidence and enthusiasm. Engage with trade professionals, distributors, and key stakeholders to expand brand visibility within events context. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align event strategies with business goals. Collect and manage customer leads, sharing them with the sales and marketing teams for follow-up.
Marketing & Promotions:
Coordinate with the Marketing Team to ensure that events are promoted in a timely manner. All materials must be provided to the communication team no less than 3 weeks before the event, unless otherwise agreed upon. Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns for upcoming events. Distribute POS materials effectively to enhance brand presence at events and partner locations. Oversee management of and maintain consistently up to date inventory of event materials and marketing collateral in collaboration with Marketing Team. Knowledge & Training Preferred knowledge base of how distilled spirits are created, standards of identify and use of spirits in cocktails
Continuous Education:
Within the first 90 days, the candidate will enroll in WSET for Distilled Spirits and pass the online test. If you do not pass after the 2nd attempt, then you will reimburse the company for the expense of the course and any additional fees for the 2 attempt.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in hospitality, event management, brand ambassadorship, or the spirits industry. Strong sales skills with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to shift priorities based on company needs. In-depth knowledge of spirits, mixology, and the liquor industry. Experience in FOH operations, bar management, and staff training. Proficiency in POS systems (Toast & Square) and event management software. High level Microsoft Office operability. Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. High level of self-awareness and on-brand positioning.

Preferred Skills:
Certification in event planning or hospitality management is a plus. Experience with menu creation and execution for events. Budgeting and financial management skills. Social media marketing experience.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently lift and transport at least 50 lbs. Comfort with prolonged periods of standing, walking, and event setup/breakdown. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel locally as needed.
