- Durham (RDU)Business Management Director (BMD), the Office Experience & EventsSpecialist will 1) support the smooth day-to-day operation andconsistently high level of customer experience for the RDU office,and 2) oversee the strategy and delivery of affiliation events andstaff engagement initiatives.
This role is essential to the cultureof the RDU office and is a high visibility role, working closelywith RDU senior office leadership. The expectation is that thisperson is in-office five days a week, though there is some abilityto work remotely sporadically.

- Durham BMD and the Office Experience(OE) team to develop, implement, and project manage initiativesthat improve the office experience for all staff.
Proactivelyidentifying opportunities; applying fresh and creative ideas Working in collaboration with the RDU Business Services Team todeliver a “5 star” experience for anyone who enters the RDU office;specifically, a smooth day-to-day operation and consistently highlevel of customer experience and support for the RDU office. Thisincludes partnering with the OE team on food delivery / cateringfor relevant office meetings / events, snack selection &stocking Working in collaboration with the Business Services Team tocoordinate in-office meetings, ensuring a high level of customerservice and seamless logistical support for every detail includingcatering, room reservation, room set-up, coordination of AV needswith the IT Team A key in-office resource for staff & guests, includingproviding recommendations for the greater Raleigh
- Durham area andgreeting /being a friendly face in the office In partnership with OE team members, acting as point of contactfor vendor relationships as required, including catering,equipment, supplies, maintenance, and other services andproducts Project managing, collaborating, and executing on specialprojects as needed Providing backup to the other members of the Business ServicesTeam as necessary, especially on days with multiple internalevents Maintaining the positive brand of the BCG Raleigh•DurhamofficeEvents•about 60% of the job Driving staff affiliation, morale, and connection by workingclosely with the Raleigh•Durham BMD to strategically plan andexecute office events (both internal and large externalevents) Owning end to end internal RDU events•this means drivinginitial planning (site visits if needed), vendor contracting,managing guest lists, creating communications and day-of executing,all done in close concert with RDU office senior leadership.
Examples of internal events include office-wide happy hours, NewHire welcome parties, cohort specific events (e.g., senior leaderoutings), in office events (e.g., leadership breakfasts), AllStaffs, recruiting events and several other events within the RDUoffice. Note some internal events may be hosted offsite (e.g.,happy hour at a restaurant) Closely partnering with the Raleigh
- Durham BMD and OE team tohelp with day of execution, administrative tasks and logisticsplanning of large external events in RDU such as annual holidayparty, offsites, family days, talent shows, community service days,as well as other external events Partnering with the
NAMR DEI
team and RDU DEI nodes to plan andexecute local event programming for affiliation networks (e.g.,helping Women@BCG diversity network plan for women’s month) Driving event marketing & communication plans, generatingengagement, promoting attendance, preparing guest lists andinvitations, sending confirmations, tracking RSVPs Coordinating office-wide events calendar and communicationsplan Creating event budgets and expenses with high level of detailand accountability Researching and developing relationships with all types ofevent vendors, including caterers, venues, entertainment and more.
Conducting site visits, negotiating preferred pricing, conductingpreliminary contract reviews Measuring staff engagement and event success through surveys,focus groups and other methods What You’ll BringYou’re good at
