Artisan Catering Event Staff Tuscan Brands LLC Salem, NH 03079 Aristan Catering and Events in Salem, NH, is looking to add dishwashers and cooks to their growing event staff.
Job Summary:
These roles require enthusiastic and reliable Event Staff to join a catering team, performing both culinary and dishwashing duties for smooth event execution. The ideal candidates will be team players with strong organizational skills, a good work ethic, and a commitment to cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.
Cook Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Preparing and cooking food according to recipes, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, including accommodating dietary needs and preferences.
Plating and Presentation:
Ensuring food is presented attractively and in an appetizing manner. Ensure high-quality, consistent food taste and presentation.
Collaboration:
Working closely with event planners, clients, and other staff to ensure seamless event execution. Maintain a clean kitchen and workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation. Assist with inventory, including receiving, storing, and rotating food. May help with event setup and breakdown. Learn cooking techniques from experienced chefs.
Dishwasher Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with sanitation guidelines.
Washing and Sanitizing:
Washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment, either by hand or using commercial dishwashers.
Organization and Storage:
Properly organizing and storing clean dishes, equipment, and supplies.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
Keeping the kitchen and dish area clean and organized, including floors, drains, and removing trash.
Stocking:
Stocking plates, glasses, and other serving ware.
Support:
Assisting with food preparation or other kitchen tasks when needed, as requested by management.
General Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other event staff for seamless execution. Assist with setting up and breaking down events. Provide support to other staff as needed. Adhere to safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions or accidents. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. Have a strong attention to detail. Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds. May require a valid food handler certification. Possess a strong work ethic and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
