Job Summary:
The Pickleball Coordinator at The Katz JCC will assist in managing and growing the JCC’s pickleball program. This individual will work closely with the Pickleball Operations Manager to oversee scheduling, programming, and member engagement, ensuring an inclusive, well-organized, and enjoyable pickleball experience for all participants.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Support the Pickleball Operations Mgr. in the day-to-day operations of the club. + Ensure members and guests receive exceptional service. Monitor feedback and determine the appropriate plan of action. + Plan and execute regular open play, tournaments, league play and other events. Manage all aspects of special events. + Follow up on membership inquiries, provide tours and educate about the Katz JCC Pickleball Club experience + Manage inventory, maintenance and other areas of the club, troubleshoot technology and support guests using our CRM and Pickleball Mgmt. systems. + Oversee and direct facility maintenance as needed. + Build and manage relationships in the local community. + In conjunction with the Pickleball Operations Mgr. maintain an organized scheduling system for court reservations, lessons, and open play. + Provide excellent customer service to members, ensuring a welcoming and engaging atmosphere. Address member concerns and feedback professionally and promptly + Assist in training and supervising instructors and volunteers. + Support marketing efforts by communicating program offerings to members and potential participants through email, social media, and flyers. + Handle administrative duties such as registration, payments, and participant records. + Work with the Pickleball Operations Manager to develop strategies for program growth and member retention. + In partnership with the Pickleball Operations Mgr. coordinate with marketing staff to create promotional materials and campaigns to increase program participation. + Implement and enforce safety procedures, facility rules, and fair play guidelines. + Support fundraising initiatives and sponsorship efforts for pickleball-related events. + Maintain knowledge of current pickleball trends, best practices, and USA Pickleball regulations. + Serve as a point of contact for all pickleball-related inquiries and conflict resolution. + Other duties as assigned.
Required Licenses/ Certificates/Registrations:
+ CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Required Education & Experience:
+ Passion for pickleball and experience in playing, coaching, or coordinating pickleball programs preferred. + Strong organizational and time-management skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Customer service experience in a recreational or fitness setting is a plus. + Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and scheduling software. + Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. “Benefits include – Generous PTO; Medical, dental, and vision care included. 403b plan eligible; Group term life insurance; Voluntary disability insurance plan;
