Event Coordinator Italian American Community Center – 3.7 Rochester, NY Job Details Full-time $25 – $33 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Hospitality Customer service Event planning Mid-level Organizational skills Events management 1 year Communication skills Full Job Description Reports to General Manger Principal Purpose of Job An Event Coordinator is responsible for hiring, scheduling, and supervising in-house staff, including servers, office staff, bartenders, maintenance personnel, and community center event vendors. They also ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility, as well as the proper maintenance of equipment and upkeep. The Event Coordinator will support all policies and processes, including recruitment and training and evaluating operational and financial performance. They will also provide input on the budget, marketing plans, and objectives of policies and processes. Responsibilities ▪ Establish, maintain, and communicate expectations for performance standards to all staff. ▪ Responsible for the operational and logistical outcomes of all venue activities. This includes facility and event budget planning. ▪ Coordinates to provide a Coordinator for all venue events. ▪ Monitors and manages operational event expenses, approves staffing and equipment invoices, and provides the Event coordinator with the event financial settlement. Ensures the financial settlement of all events. ▪ Supports membership and community facility use. Including event/activity schedules to avoid space or usage conflicts. ▪ Assists with the development, management, and support of the fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities to the budget of the operations department. ▪ Assists with strategic business and budget planning, including the development and prioritization of capital projects for facility improvements. ▪ Negotiates to develop the scope of work to manage vendors’ and suppliers’ agreements that support event activities. ▪ Supports the development of facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); implements training and provides associated support resources for employees. ▪ Oversees risk management and safety programs.   • COGS of Event Qualifications and Skills Full Time position with Night and weekend availability Manage logistics of each event and delegate tasks to staff as needed 1+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality field Reliable source of transportation Strong organizational skills and able to handle multi-tasking efficiently Great communication skills
