Event Services Director, Manager and Coordinator, Overnight Event Staff Supervisor Position Overview:
Ensure the protection and safety of event sites, property, equipment, and overnight work crews.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and protect all property, equipment, and staff in designated event sites; prevent harm, damage, and loss of property Enforce public access restrictions to designated areas Document the arrival and departures of approved overnight work crews/employees Communicate any suspicious behavior or activities to Supervisors and/or Emergency Services (Police/Fire/EMS) Assist with loss prevention in the event of a weather emergency. May be asked to clear clear rain water (summer) or snow (winter) from pop-up or pole tents, spread ice melt, and activate and monitor tent heaters. May be asked to assist with light-duty trash clean-up on rare occasions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be friendly, personable and have excellent communication skills Must be a team player and be able to work well with others; previous customer service experience preferred (at least 1 year); must have strong people skills, including diplomacy and empathy Ability to multi-task, detail-oriented, and able to problem solve to effectively deal with internal and external customers, occasionally under stressful conditions. High School Diploma or Equivalent required Ability to follow and communicate clear guidelines and work at a quick pace, particularly during events and other functions Ability to multi-task with ease; organized, accurate and cooperative Read, write, speak and understand the English language at a level adequate to perform the job; bi-lingual in Spanish or Asian dialect a plus Ability to satisfactorily complete a
PA Criminal History Check and PA Child Abuse Clearance Hours:
Must be available to work overnight between 11pm
- 9am Must be available to work “Musikfest”, ArtsQuest’s 11-day music festival, from July 28 to August 14, 2025.
Additional work may be available throughout 2025 depending on staffing needs and employee availability. Must be available weekends and some holidays. Hours based on scheduled event times. Staff work on an “as needed / as available” basis.
Physical Abilities Required:
Must be able to stay awake and alert during the overnight shift. Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift items up to 25 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally with the assistance of others Ability to kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push, pull, pinch, grip, reach overhead, reach away from the body, and repetitive motion Ability to speak, see, hear, smell, feel (identify objects by touch), depth perception and color vision
