days ago Event Coordinator Job Description Segra Park is a venue that organizes a large number of meetings, conferences, and events throughout the year for internal and external partners. We’re looking for a highly skilled event coordinator who can help make these gatherings consistently efficient, cost-effective, and memorable. The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate and negotiate with vendors, collaborate with event point of contact, and manage communications with attendees, speakers, and client stakeholders. Above all, the event coordinator must be comfortable in a leadership role that demands a creative, business-driven mindset and lasting relationships with vendors. Objectives of this role Represent the company’s mission and values at every event Work closely with the Special Events Manager to coordinate event logistics Coordinate and collaborate with other departments such as food and beverage and marketing to make sure all facets of the event run smoothly Oversee planning and day-of coordination to ensure smooth event execution Manage all event aspects, from venue selection to success metrics Maintain accurate event timelines from start to finish Create and execute a detailed day-of plan in coordination with catering Supervise event staff and delegate tasks as needed Ensure compliance with all local and national regulations Responsibilities Develop a complete understanding of the needs for every event Hire and/or train personnel as needed across all functions of an event (ex: registration, setup, catering, audio/visual) Coordinate staff scheduling to ensure all event needs are met Manage daily event and program operations, including issue resolution and problem solving Communicate with clients on all event details to ensure success Required skills and qualifications Experience in Corporate event planning or coordination Proven history of delivering creative and successful events Collaborative experience with teams across food & beverage, marketing, etc. Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills Calm under pressure with a customer-focused approach Quick to adapt and solve problems effectively
