Job Description
Outback Presents is seeking a live entertainment industry professional to fill the Booking Manager position. This position is responsible for managing the various booking tasks and logistics required for a successful event across a variety of artists and venue sizes. This role often involves coordinating with artists teams, venues, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful event execution.
Essential Functions:
Drafting and submission of offers for artists and venues based on projected ticket sales, artist research and past show data. Fundamental comprehension of financial risk, expenses and deal points when creating offers, ensuring financial targets are met. Developing and establishing tour routing by working closely with the venues to check availability, ensuring that routing is realistic and efficient. Collaborating with venues to designate price points for ticketing and seating arrangements for each show based on demographic/market related to artist and venue location. Tracking show performance data, identifying trends, and using insights to improve future booking strategies. Overseeing and working directly with various departments (i.e. marketing, ticketing, production, finance) on overall aspects for assigned shows/tours with a high level understanding of marketing, ticketing and booking KPIs. Maintaining show files and updating information in the company’s various systems, in a timely manner as changes are made or new information is made available. Draft, review, and manage contracts, insurance requests and settlements through to completion, ensuring compliance and adherence to terms. Communicating with clients, venues, artist teams, and agencies in a professional manner. Work onsite at events on an as needed basis as an industry liaison and coordinator. May be responsible for various show related tasks and travel logistics. May assist with special projects as assigned by senior executives in a timely, accurate and confidential manner.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS preferred). 5 or more years of related work experience in the live entertainment industry working at the club, theatre and arena level. Computer savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Gmail, iCal, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat, Airtable, Trello and MAC systems. Travel to events when needed or during busy seasons as a promoter representative. Strong interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with the ability to multitask. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
